The royal couples are having a night out. This evening, Britain's Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, were joined at the Royal Albert Hall by Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel for the annual Royal Variety Performance concert.

For the event, which raises funds that the Royal Variety Charity uses to benefit retired and struggling members of the entertainment industry, Victoria wore a long black gown with a whimsical feathered texture. She paired the look with a chunky gold choker and a chain necklace, with oversized chain-link earrings in black and gold.

Earlier in the day, Victoria and Daniel were welcomed at Windsor Castle by Kate and William as part of a series of engagements they're undertaking in the UK this week. Yesterday the couple visited the Three Blackbirds Pub where they discussed English pub culture, and heard a presentation about East Anglia; they also visited the Imperial College Innovation Hub and attended a gala dinner hosted by Business Sweden.

Like William, who became the Prince of Wales after his father, King Charles, became monarch in 2022, Victoria is also heir to the throne—her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf celebrated his 50th year as king earlier this year—giving the two royals a unique bond. The British and Swedish royal family have a long and stories connection; in fact, both families can trace their lineage back to England's Queen Victoria, making them distant relations. Indeed, Victoria and Daniel attended the now-Prince and Princess of Wales's 2011 royal wedding, and in 2018, Will and Kate visited the Swedish royals during a tour of Sweden and Norway.
