Cross Country Regionals: Onsted's Emmry Ross wins regional title

JACKSON — The Onsted and Addison girls cross country teams, along with the Lenawee Christian boys, are all heading to Michigan International Speedway next weekend after qualifying as teams for the state meets.

Emmry Ross continued to set the pace as the Onsted junior won the Division 3 regional at Ella Sharp Park Friday, running with a time of 18:51.7. The Wildcats posted a score of 79 to take third behind Jackson Lumen Christi (33) and Hanover Horton (25).

Allie England (22:09.6 )and Raegan Brosamer (22:14.7) took 15th and 16th while Izabel Raglow (22:40.2) took 19th and Jordyn Taylor was 28th (23:25.2).

Hudson's Jayla Bright took 13th (21:53.5) and Pierce Pibbles took 21st (22:48.1) to qualify as individuals.

Jonesville (60) Lumen Christi (76) and Hanover Horton (84) took the three boys spots. Hudson's Alex Czeiszperger took third overall (16:57.2) to qualify along with Mitchell Hiatt of Onsted in sixth (17:00.2), Madison's Trenton Fetter in ninth (17:25.1) and Sand Creek's Silas Daniels took 15th (17:42.3).

DIVISION 4

JACKSON — Stephanie Hernandez led the Addison girls as she took third (20:47.9) to lead the Panthers to third in the regional at Ella Sharp Park.

Addison had 61 points behind Hillsdale Academy (35) and Pittsford (58). Sayra Hernandez took 18th (23:54.0) while Kendalyn Perry (24:29.3), Allison Morris (24:45.3) and Maggie Frost (25:15.1) took 21st through 23rd.

Joining Addison will be Lenawee Christian's Izzy Brooks who took second (19:56.8), Britton Deerfield's Aubrey Appleman in eighth (21:40.0) and Morenci's Leah Rorick (22:27.2) and Emersyn Bachelder (22:54.6) took 14th and 15th.

The LCS boys took third with 95 points while Hillsdale Academy won with 25 points and East Jackson took second with 62 points.

Joel Lange took sixth to lead the Cougars at 17:47.0 while Nathan Daniels was 16th (18:35.5), Kaleb Richardson was 22nd (19:21.1), Landon Chadek took 32nd (20:20.2) and Carter Chadek was 35th (20:32.3).

Morenci's Zachary Martinez (18:09.9), Beau Shaffer (18:17.0) and Landon Wilkins (18:17.7) took 13th through 15th respectively.
