Cris Collinsworth Names NFL Draft’s Best Wide Receiver
Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions were already seen as winners when they landed who many believe to be the best pass rusher in the 2022 NFL Draft.
But according to veteran broadcaster (and former Pro Bowl receiver) Cris Collinsworth, they also landed the draft’s best wideout as well.

The Lions traded up in the draft to take Williams 12th overall after selecting Aidan Hutchinson at two.
The Alabama product lit the college football world on fire after transferring from Ohio State. In his one season as a starter, Jameson Williams caught 79 balls for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns as one of the sport’s true home run hitters.
Unfortunately, Williams suffered a knee injury in the national championship game which gave NFL teams some pause going into the draft. But, he was still one of the first four receivers off the board.

Though often forgotten, Cris Collinsworth was a three-time Pro Bowl WR and absolute burner at 6-foot-5. A second-round pick of the Bengals, Collinsworth entered the NFL and was immediately one of the league’s most dangerous deep threats. He’d go on to record 1,000-yard seasons in half of his eight seasons in the National Football League.
Look for Jameson Williams to also make an immediate impact in the Motor City.
