Criminal Minds: Evolution is currently in production for season 2, but it doesn't mean the show's social team isn't busy delivering surprise updates for the fans!

While details about what's to come on the Paramount+ drama are currently under wraps, the series decided they'd give a tiny peek at the cast while they're filming new episodes. After spending weeks asking viewers on Instagram to give ideas for the fanbase that continues to grow ever since the first iteration aired in 2005, folks learned that the show officially has an account on TikTok. What's more, they let cast members Paget Brewster, A.J. Cook, Joe Mantegna, Aisha Tyler, Kirsten Vangsness and Adam Rodriguez (dressed in costume) reveal in a video the fans will now be officially called "Profilers."

"Welcome Profilers 👋 #CriminalMinds," read the official caption on April 8.

Although this wasn't necessarily the surprise fans were expecting, many were still thrilled to learn there was a central place for all things Criminal Minds: Evolution on TikTok.

"THIS JUST MADE MY WHOLE WEEK THEY ALL LOOK SO GOOD," one person exclaimed in the comments. "This is so iconic whoever is running this account you're my bsf now and you get no choice 🤗🤗💗💗," another agreed. "OH MY GOD YOU HAVE A TIKTOK," a different follower screamed.

Now that we have somewhat of a first look at the new season, is there anything to know about what's to come? Given how the show is known to drop bombshell twists, we're sure the BAU will be fully ready for whatever Criminal Minds: Evolution decides to create for a story line. But if there's one thing we do know, it's one new cast member is coming to shake things up.

According to Variety on April 1, Felicity Huffman will join Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 as Dr. Jill Gideon, the ex-wife of former BAU member Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin). The outlet writes Jill is a biological psychiatrist who agrees to assist the BAU with investigating a new murder conspiracy. While she has some history with one particular FBI agent, she decides to help based on the skill set she brings to the table.

Well, we'll be ready for "wheels up" whenever the time comes!
