Crestview softball player Kalee Hamman voted Ashland County Athlete of the Week

Crestview softball player Kalee Hamman was voted as Ashland County's Athlete of the Week for April 15-20.

The voting took place online from 10 a.m. Monday through 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Last Friday, Hamman pitched a complete game shutout in Crestview's 8-0 away win over New London. Hamman pitched all seven innings, struck out 11 batters, had zero walks, gave up seven hits and no earned runs in 92 pitches (73 strikes).

Hamman just held off Loudonville baseball player Kiefer Rhodes in the voting, as Hamman piled up 40.4%t of the vote (305 votes) to Rhodes' 39.3% (297 votes).

The voting polls for next week's Athlete of the Week candidates will be open at 10 a.m. Monday.
