Creepy kitchen in this charming Kentucky home brings chaos to Zillow Gone Wild

On the outside, this Lakeside Park, Kentucky, home on the market for $142,000 is perfectly charming with its subtle cream exterior and surrounding trees. But it’s what’s on the inside that’s causing a stir on a popular real estate social media page.

Photos, which have since been removed from the listing, show dark smudge marks on the kitchen floor of the two-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom house.

Sure, there are other aspects of the 1,209 square-foot house that stand out, like its hardwood floors, fireplace, huge garage and a “backyard oasis,” but Zillow Gone Wild — a Facebook and Twitter page that focuses on unique houses for sale — has zeroed on the kitchen.

“What’s happening in the kitchen of this Lakeside Park, KY home?” the caption reads.

“Yep, all seem normal up to here until.... oh..” one person said of the kitchen photo.

“Just some meat that my family sent me that went bad,” another joked. “Bad pork chops….”

“Gah! I hate when the Roomba finds the blood pool. Aren’t robots supposed to be smarter than that?” someone asked.

“I don’t know which is more disturbing - the blood.....or the fact that the blood-trail stops at the oven and not the sink,” one person said.

What are you, the cops? Stop asking questions you don’t want answers to,” someone asked.

I’m going with it’s a giant bag of berries... Yep... Berries drug through the entire house and looking to be pooling in the driveway too under the leaves on the right,” another joked. “Berries.”

“The kitchen pictures were removed from the listing, which just makes me even more curious,” someone tweeted.

“How to make your real estate listing pop — throw a bone to true crime podcast fans,” one person said.

McClatchy News has reached out to the listing agent of the home to clarify what was in the photos and has yet to hear back.

Currently, the house is listed as “pending.”
