Tiverton Farmers Market: 4th annual Thanksgiving Cranberry-Craze

Get into the holiday spirit with Tiverton Farmers Market on Sunday, Nov. 19, at their fourth annual Thanksgiving Cranberry-Craze Farmers Market. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, the Tiverton Middle School cafeteria, 10 Quintal Dr., will host more than 45 local vendors offering mouth-watering treats and unique products. Sample cranberry-infused creations and find one-of-a-kind gifts from local artisans. There will also be live music from The Virginia James Band. This event is free and open to the public. The holiday season: Craft gifts at New Bedford Art Museum

Create something special to gift to someone this holiday season at New Bedford Art Museum, 608 Pleasant St. Beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 15, through Wednesday, Dec. 6, learn how to make a handmade, knitted scarf. Whether you’re making it to keep yourself warm this winter, or want to learn how to make a cozy gift for someone, you will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. Classes are from 6 to 8 p.m., and all materials are included. These classes are for those age 8 and older. The cost is $81 for members, and $90 for non-members. Technology program: Westport Council on Aging offers tech sessions

The Westport Council on Aging continues to offer its technology program for seniors. Classes are held on Wednesday afternoons at the Computer Cafe in the Senior Center, 75 Reed Rd., Westport. The next session is “Travel Planning & Scheduling on the Internet” on Wednesday, Nov. 15. These classes are for anyone who is 55 and older, and classes are free. One-on-one personalized sessions are available by appointment for Thursday mornings. Registration is required for all classes. Call the Westport Council on Aging at 508-636-1026.

Live music: Eighth annual Music of Michael Troy Concert at The Narrows

Fall River’s Narrows Center for the Arts, 16 Anawan St., has a diverse line-up for November. On Friday, Nov. 17, six-string virtuoso Anders Osborne will be performing. On Saturday, Nov. 18, see eclectic band Fantastic Cat. Then on Sunday, Nov. 19, the eighth annual Music of Michael Troy Concert will be performed by a mix of top local and regional artists. There will be solo performances by Mary Zema, Matt Borello, Joan Akin, Tom Smith, Johnny Botelho and Chuck Williams; as well as duos Redfish with Gary Fish and Steve Redfern, Louis Leeman with Jeri Karam Kozak; a trio, Laureanno Bros. with Mike, Tom & Frank Laureanno; and the Durfee Quinte,t featuring Matt Desmarais and Gary Bigelow, Tom Khoury, Justin Gallagher and Jayson Newell. Giving back: Prince Henry Society food drive

Looking for a way to give back and help others in the community this holiday season? Stop by the Prince Henry Society of Fall River’s food drive on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They’ll be collecting food and funds at Portugalia Marketplace (489 Bedford St.) and Seabra Foods (440 Stafford Rd.) in Fall River. The funds and food help support the missions of St. Anne’s Food Pantry, Holy Trinity Soup Kitchen, Holy Name/Sacred Heart Food Pantry, St John Of God Food Pantry, and the Veterans Association. Members will be accepting non-perishable food donations; cash; and checks, made payable to The Prince Henry Society. Donations may also be made online at www.phsfr.org. Contributions will be accepted at the following drop-off locations until Nov. 18: Neto Insurance, 1465 Pleasant St; Alexandra’s Boutique, 372 S. Celebrate Thanksgiving: Plymouth Philharmonic special concert

The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra presents a special concert, in partnership with America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration. They’ll be performing a selection of Baroque-era favorites on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. in Plymouth Memorial Hall, 83 Court St. This concert is presented in partnership with America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration and supported in part by the Town of Plymouth Promotions Fund, with additional support from 95.9 WATD-FM. The 108th season of the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra is funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Memorial Hall is handicapped-accessible. Tickets are $35. Homemade items: People, Incorporated Family Support Center Fall Craft Fair

People, Incorporated’s Family Support Center presents its annual Fall Craft Fair on Friday, Nov. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Great Room at 4 S. Main St., Fall River. All crafts are made by individuals in the Family Support Center’s programs. This event is cash only; credit cards will not be accepted. Complimentary coffee and pastries will be available.

At the theater: The Marion Art Center Readers’ Theater Group

The Marion Art Center Readers’ Theater Group will present a series of poems, skits, short stories, and excerpts on Monday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center, 465 Mill St., Marion. This event is free, and no registration is required. For a small fee, guests can enjoy a lunch at noon, before the performances. New venue: Steeple Playhouse opens in New Bedford

The Steeple Playhouse, a new community arts center at 159 William St., New Bedford, opens its doors on Friday, Nov. 17, with an exciting line-up slated for this season. Your Theatre, Inc. launches its 77th season there on Friday, Nov. 17, with a production of “Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder On The Orient Express,’” adapted by Ken Ludwig and directed by Lawrence R. Gift shopping: Holiday Bazaar at Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church

The Bliss Four Corners Congregational Church, 1264 Stafford Rd., Tiverton, presents their annual Holiday Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bazaar features hand-crafted items for home and gifts, holiday decorations, jewelry, baked goods, homemade candy, pickles and jelly, a white elephant table, and a children’s corner. Special $1 raffle tickets will be available for gift baskets, lobsters, and more. There will also be a $2 “Sugarplum Raffle” for wrapped gifts. Get outside: Tour White Rock Farm in Little Compton

White Rock Farm, 199 W. Main Rd., Little Compton, is partnering with The Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Take a tour of the farm on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m., for free. The tour is also kid-friendly, and a chance for visitors to explore a working farm and learn more about sustainable agriculture. Classical music: Spend an evening with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra

The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra presents “Beautiful Moments” on Saturday, Nov. 18, in the Bronspiegel Auditorium at New Bedford High School, 230 Hathaway Blvd. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., and there will be a pre-concert talk with Music Director Yaniv Dinur and South Coast Chamber Music Series artistic director Janice Weber at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 for the talk, and at 7 p.m. for the concert. Learning outside the classroom: Zeiterion Schooltime series goes on the road

The Zeiterion Performing Art Center is taking its Schooltime series on the road, with presentations at New Bedford High School and UMass Dartmouth. This is a chance for students to experience the power of the performing arts. The next performance will be on Monday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., in the Main Auditorium at UMass Dartmouth. “Tomás and the Library Lady” is for grades K to 5, and tells the story of Mexican-American author Tomás Rivera as a bilingual musical. Sharing a meal: Corline Cronan’s Family Thanksgiving Dinner

A beloved Taunton tradition continues, with Corline Cronan’s Family Thanksgivng Dinner once more providing a hot turkey dinner for those in need in the Taunton area. Meals will be prepared at James L. Mulcahey Elementary School, 28 Clifford St., and will be available for pick-up or delivery only on Thanksgiving Day, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No advance orders are needed for pick-up. For those who want delivery, register with the Council on Aging by Tuesday, Nov. 21. In Taunton, call 508-821-1425; in Raynham, call 508-824-2740.
