Cowboys Get Encouraging News On Tyron Smith
On Thanksgiving Day, the Dallas Cowboys entered their game against the Las Vegas Raiders as significant favorites.
Unfortunately, it didn’t go as expected. The Raiders offense came out firing on all cylinders and hung 36 points on the Cowboys defense en route to a 36-33 win.
It wasn’t all bad news for the Cowboys, though. Star left tackle Tyron Smith made his return for that game and didn’t suffer a setback during the contest. According to a statement to reporters on Tuesday, Smith said his ankle is good enough to play – but will have to be managed.
“Cowboys LT Tyron Smith said his ankle is good enough for him to play, but it will probably be something he’ll have to play through for the rest of the season. He said surgery was never a consideration,” Cowboys insider Jon Machota said.

The Cowboys will be without head coach Mike McCarthy and several other assistant coaches – and possibly some players – this week due to COVID-19.
While that’s not good news, the team’s elite players like Tyron Smith, DeMarcus Lawrence and Dak Prescott seem to be getting healthy at the right time.
Next up for Dallas is a contest against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night.
