Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper suffered a rib injury last Sunday that casted some doubt on his availability for Week 3. The latest update on Cooper, however, is very encouraging.

For the second day in a row, Cooper was a full participant at practice. The Cowboys have not given him an injury designation for Monday night’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, which means he’s good to go.

This update on Cooper isn’t that surprising because he told reporters he’s going to try and play through this injury. He revealed that he has this type of mindset due to his past experiences at Alabama.

“[Nick] Saban, he put another guy in front of me cause I kind of kept taking myself out the game and it just messed up the continuity of everything,” Cooper said. “So now I just I’d rather play hurt than to be switching with a guy in there.”

The Cowboys have to be thrilled with Amari Cooper’s progression in practice this week. With Michael Gallup out for at least a few more games, the offense couldn’t really afford to lose another dynamic wide receiver.

Cooper has been very productive through the first two games of the season, hauling in 16 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns.

If Cooper is anywhere close to 100 percent on Monday night, he should be able to make a few plays against the Eagles.
