Iconic 1990s and early 2000s country singer Jo Dee Messina will be making a stop in North Myrtle Beach at the Alabama Theatre as part of a national tour celebrating her greatest hits.

The “Heads Carolina, Tails California Tour” begins Feb. 17 at the Carolina Theatre in Greensboro, N.C., and will end in November in California.

Messina is set to take the stage at Alabama Theatre in North Myrtle Beach on Feb. 18.

The tour is an ode to Messina’s debut 1996 hit, “Heads Carolina, Tails California.” She is using the original photoshoot for her tour posters, along with limited edition merchandise.

You can purchase tickets on Messina’s website, jodeemessina.com/tour.

“It seems crazy that we’ve never toured under the ‘Heads Carolina, Tails California’ banner before,” Messina said in a Feb. 9 press release. “We are so excited to bring people songs that they know, stories we will share and, yes, new music!”

Messina sold out multiple venues and broke festival attendance records in her 2022 touring season, according to the release. She ended the year with two direct support slots with Reba McEntire, elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2011.

Messina posted nine No. 1 hits and 16 Top 40 songs and has been recognized by the ACM Awards, CMA Awards and Grammy awards, the release said.

Messina recently announced that “Heads Carolina, Tails California: The Best of Jo Dee Messina” will be released on March 10 on Curb Records, and includes 11 of her hits, such as “Bye, Bye,” “I’m Alright,” and “Lesson in Leavin.”
