You could be neighbors with a celebrity. Here are famous people who call Grand Strand home

The Grand Strand has had its share of famous visitors.

So far this year TV weatherman and NBC “Today Show” co-host Al Roker was in the Myrtle Beach area in September filming a food segment with Grand Strand restaurants.

In August, former NFL tight end with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Robert Gronkowski visited Myrtle Beach, enjoying the beach, mini golf and a full-size golf course.

And actor and comedian Bill Murray was seen at a restaurant in Georgetown in October. Murray has multiple residences, but it appears his main home is in Charleston. Charleston is about an hour from Georgetown.

But aside from these short visits, some celebrities actually call Horry and Georgetown counties home. Here are who and where some of those well-known people have homes.

Madison Iseman

  • This Myrtle Beach native has made a name for herself in acting, starring in such films as “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and “Annabelle Comes Home” and the TV series “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Iseman moved to Los Angeles early in her career, but she still has family in Myrtle Beach. Her father, Dr. John Iseman, retired from his dental practice this year after serving the Grand Strand for more than 30 years.

White has said that she visits North Myrtle Beach whenever she gets a chance.

Co-host Vanna White and host Pat Sajak make an appearance at Radio City Music Hall for a taping of celebrity week on “Wheel of Fortune” hosted by People Magazine in 2007. The pair are under contract to host the game show through the 2023-24 season.
