Could Florida ‘Golden Bachelor’ contestants hand out roses as future Golden Bachelorette?

While Bachelor Nation is eager to see who wins Gerry Turner's heart on the "Golden Bachelor" finale this week, some fans are more anxious to hear whether there's going to be a "Golden Bachelorette."

And if so, who will it be?

On the two-hour finale, viewers will watch as Turner chooses between New Jersey financial services professional Theresa Nist and Minnesota fitness instructor Leslie Fhima. As Turner makes that decision on live TV, many fans expect an announcement will be made about a possible "Golden Bachelorette."

The two-hour "Golden Bachelor" finale airs on ABC at 8 p.m. EST Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023.

Has ABC announced a possible 'Golden Bachelorette' for 2024 season?

As of Nov. 28, 2023, ABC still has not officially announced whether there will be a female-led spinoff of "The Golden Bachelor" next year, but it's likely something like that will come.

Show host Jesse Palmer, the face of reason on "The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette," "Bachelor in Paradise" and "The Golden Bachelor," told "Entertainment Tonight" earlier this month that he is in favor of the idea.

"I really hope we do it. I've been clamoring for it as well," Palmer said. "I just love the group of women on Gerry's season. I can't single one out specifically. I think there's a number that would be phenomenal Golden Bachelorettes, and that are very deserving of that opportunity."

Turner also told E! News following the "Women Tell All" "event "Golden Bachelor" episode earlier this month that he was supportive of the spinoff.

"I absolutely do hope that is something that happens," Gerry Turner said. "But there's no way I could recommend one out of those 22 women that would be better than any of the others. They'd all be wonderful candidates for it."

What Florida contestants could receive the inaugural 'Golden Bachelorette' title?

The two Florida contestants were Ellen Goltzer from Delray Beach and April Kirkwood from Port St. Lucie. Kirkwood was eliminated on week four of the show, with Goltzer leaving the following week before the "hometown visit" episode.
