Could the D-Backs host World Series games? Tickets go on sale today and here's what to know

Will the Diamondbacks make it to the World Series this year?

That question still remained as tickets for Major League Baseball's most celebrated tournament were expected to go on sale Monday morning.

The D-Backs, behind 2-3 in the National League Championship Series against the Philadelphia Phillies, announced that if they end up taking the series win, they could host some World Series games.

The games presented by Capitol One were expected to go on sale around 9 a.m. MST Monday. Fans could purchase them online at dbacks.com/postseason.

The Diamondbacks could potentially host home games on Oct. 30 (game 3), Oct. 31 (game 4), and Nov. 1 (game 5, if necessary).

The very same night tickets go on sale, the D-Backs and Philadelphia Phillies face one another for Game 6 of the National League Championship Series at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

The Phillies are favored to win Monday's National League playoff game, per odds from BetMGM Sportsbook.

The game can be seen at 2:07 p.m. MST on TBS (stream with free trial from FUBO).
