Costco's Cool Cabana Is Coming for Your Pool Lounge Chair

If you ask us, the best summer days are spent doing a whole lot of nothing: find a particularly cozy spot outside to snuggle up, bask in the sun, and just be. Yes, there are chaise lounges, but is there a chair that combines the best of both summer-specific seats? Until recently, there was not. Enter Costco. The wholesaler might be known for its slew of somewhat bizarre-yet-brilliant must-haves, including party porches and gigantic camp chairs, but our most recent Costco find is a bit more practical and easier to justify as an impulse purchase. It's a daybed with a retractable canopy, adjustable backrest, and two built-in rotating side tables.

At 61 inches wide, this perch is perfect for spreading out and falling asleep or sliding next to a friend to toast matching margaritas. A large, 16-inch-thick cushion offers a comfortable place to relax, while the adjustable, multi-level backrest makes it possible to go from sitting to snoozing in a snap. (After all, a perfect summer day isn't complete without a sun-drenched nap.) Plus, if it gets too sunny, you can always enlist the retractable canopy that blocks out most of the sun's harmful UV rays. And, thanks to a pair of built-in rotating side tables, you'll have somewhere to place your sunscreen, shades, and go-to beverage.

The OVE Decors Sienna daybed might deliver on style, but it's also built to last. The rust-free aluminum frame is coupled with a wicker resin that's UV- and weather-resistant, so there's no need to cover it in inclement weather. Meanwhile, the Sunbrella fabrics used here are tough enough to combat stains, mold, mildew, chlorine, and fading. The result? A cool canopy you can enjoy for years to come. One caveat: At $1,300, this stylish daybed is by no means cheap. But don't worry, we found a few budget-friendly alternatives for some savvy fun in the sun ahead.
