Costco Is Selling a GIANT 5-Pound Chicken Potpie—and We Know What We’re Having for Dinner

Members know that Costco is the place to stock up on family-sized staples, like multi-pack rolls of toilet paper, but it’s also a good source for BIG deals—literally. It’s hard to forget Costco’s 4-pound carrot cake!

Now, we have even BIGGER news, because there’s a new Costco chicken potpie in stores and it is enormous.

What’s in the Chicken Potpie?

You might walk past this potpie in the prepared food section, thinking it’s just a big ol’ apple pie. It does have the familiar crisscross ribbons of dough on top, but look closer and you’ll see it’s a Kirkland Signature chicken potpie. It weighs in at around 5 pounds!

This is a classic chicken potpie that uses 1-1/2 pounds of shredded chicken from Costco’s famous rotisserie chicken, a mix of peas and carrots and the same crust Costco uses on its fruit pies. It should turn golden brown and flaky in the oven. YUM.

How Can I Get the Potpie?

If you’re an in-store shopper, look for the chicken potpie in the refrigerated cases in the back of the store, near the mac and cheese, rotisserie chicken and Caesar salads. It retails for just $3.49 per pound, so it can range in price depending on the exact weight. And if you’re willing to pay a few dollars more for convenience, you can get a Costco chicken potpie for $24 on Instacart.

Don’t forget to pick up a bottle of Kirkland-brand eggnog liqueur, too—this boozy beverage is certain to make your spirits bright!
