Costco is known for its food court offerings. Many enjoy the cheese pizza, especially this hack that makes it even better, while others prefer the $1.50 hot dog topped with onions.

However, not all items at Costco’s food court are happily welcomed by customers, especially those controversial double chocolate chunk cookies that replaced the churros.

Now, there is another possible addition to the food court line-up, and fans are not thrilled about this.

Costco Food Court Might Be Getting a Turkey Sandwich

There have been a lot of rumors circulating online that Costco may have a new food court turkey sandwich to offer customers soon. Instagram's costcoinsider posted an image of the alleged sandwich with a caption that said, "New Food Court item coming soon! Turkey & Swiss Sandwich for $6.99. Comes with a roll, brown turkey, swiss cheese, sun dried tomato spread, green leaf, and dijon." The caption also states that the sandwich will likely be available at Costco stores at the end of February.

The comments were anything but positive, with one user saying, "It looks very plain." Others said it reminds them of Costco's former turkey sandwich and that they would prefer the original be brought back instead.

Costco's original turkey sandwich was made with turkey, provolone cheese, and garlic-basil mayo, served hot. It was later discontinued during the pandemic and sadly never made a comeback.

A recent Reddit thread also weighed in on the possibility of this new sandwich. Comments from fans flooded in, and none of these sounded enthusiastic either. One user said, "Just another cold and dry sandwich. Instant pass," while someone else added, "There's no way this is real. That picture is awful. That couldn't have been approved by the design team."

Others were also not happy about the price of the sandwich, saying, "For the price of this you could get an entire value meal at a fast food joint," and, "Costco food court used to be deals for lunch, now it's just another crappy place to eat at."

One other asked, "Why is it so hard to make a sandwich $4.99? Is it $6.99 to make up for some of the lost revenue from the hot dog? Just a sandwich by itself at Costco should be $4.99."

Only time will tell if this sandwich makes its way to the food court and whether customers will try or bypass it altogether.
