Coshocton Sheriff's Office handles injury crashes on Sunday

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office handled two separate vehicle wrecks on Sunday that resulted in patients being transported by medical helicopter.

The first occurred shortly before 4 p.m. near the intersection of Ohio 83 and Millcreek Township Road 210. Authorities in a press release said William Riley Sr., 68, of Wooster, was traveling north on Ohio 83 when he went off the roadway on his motorcycle and struck a ditch. He was ejected from the bike.

Riley was flown from the scene by MedFlight to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus with undisclosed injuries. Assisting on scene were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Three River Fire District and Prince's Wrecker Service.

The second incident was a utility task vehicle crash shortly after 4 p.m. in the 19000 block of Ohio 83 on private property, said a press release. Authorities said a juvenile was driving the UTV with a juvenile passenger when it rolled over and the passenger was injured. Names of the juveniles have not been released by the sheriff's office.

The passenger was transported by MedFlight to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Assisting on scene were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services and Three River Fire District.
