Coroner releases name of Rockford woman who was fatally shot
The name of a 19-year-old woman fatally shot Tuesday in Rockford has been released.
The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office pronounced Elizabeth Beasley, of Rockford, dead at the scene Tuesday evening in the 4900 block of Linden Road.
Police, who announced the shooting Wednesday, have released few details.

Douglas Bell, 20, of Rockford, was booked into the Winnebago County Jail early Wednesday on first-degree murder charges. Police said Bell was known to the woman.
An autopsy performed Wednesday showed Beasley died from a gunshot wound.
