CORK, Shreveport's premiere wine event, is coming back to Festival Plaza this spring

Are you ready to taste some wines as you immerse yourself in the heart of downtown Shreveport? CORK, the city's most celebrated wine festival, is back for its 18th year.

The upper pavilion of Festival Plaza will be filled April 6 with more than 90 wines, delectable bites from local restaurateurs, live music, raffle items, vendor booths from Kendra Scott and Clean Slate Botanicals and a special pop-up package store by Thrifty Liquor.

This event was created in 2005 as a fundraising benefit for the Red River Revel Arts Festival.

Through its tenure CORK, has annually attracted more than 1,000 wine enthusiasts and revelers to Festival Plaza for an afternoon of music, food, fun and, of course, wine.

In addition to the wine, party goers can enjoy bite-size food portions from local restaurateurs including Mi Meza Latin Cuisine, Newk’s Eatery, We Olive & Wine Bar, Niema’s Cookery Corner, Vegans on the Run, Kajun Kroner Food Express, Earnestly Tootie’s, The Smoking Oyster, Texas Roadhouse and Great American Cookies at Provenance Place.

This year, there will be two stages offering live music from singer/songwriter Haley Brooke and saxophonist, De’Lontrell Thomas.
