The end could be near for The Conners. The Roseanne revival has wrapped production on its strike-truncated sixth season, but ABC has yet to renew the show for a seventh. What's more, Deadline reports that cast negotiations for a potential Season 7, which would ordinarily be underway by this time, have not yet even begun.
The news of a possible cancelation doesn't come as a total surprise. EP Bruce Helford had previously told TV Line that Season 6 could be the sitcom's last. "We feel that [next season] is possibly going to be the last season of The Conners,” he said. “I would not [say that] definitively because the numbers were so good this season, and we’ve all had a really great time… but it’s definitely a possibility.”
He later told Parade—with five episodes of the current season shot at the time—that there was a "fifty-fifty" chance the show would go on. "We certainly have plenty to say," he shared. "We love doing it."

No, but it does seem to be on the chopping block at ABC. Season 6 has wrapped and cast negotiations for Season 7 have yet to even begin.
How will The Conners end?
It's hard to say at this point. Season 6 has seen a lot of movement for the family, with Mark going off to college, Darlene taking a job at his school cafeteria, Becky finding love, Jackie struggling with the Lunch Box and more. Earlier this year, EP Dave Caplan told Parade they “have an idea” for how the series will end. "We ain't going quietly, that's for sure," he said.
TV Line has also reported that, should the show get scrapped, a tag scene has been filmed to tack onto the Season 6 finale, allowing it to act as a series finale. That's somewhat disappointing news for fans, who would surely prefer a well-paced and plotted ending (especially considering the near traumatizing series finale to Roseanne).

Who is cast in The Conners Season 7?
It's hard to imagine the show continuing on without OGs Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, John Goodman and Lecy Goranson, not to mention the rest of the core cast of the revival, including Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, Jay R. Ferguson and Katey Sagal.
But at this point, there is no firm casting news around Season 7 because the show has yet to be renewed.
