“Everyone meet Ava Dior and Athens Elizabeth Dixon,” the singer captioned photos of his newborn babies’ feet on Instagram on Saturday, August 22. People reports that the babies were born on Tuesday, August 18.

The American Idol season 11 alum, 28, announced in February that his wife was pregnant with their first child and “arriving in fall 2020.”

The following month, the singer revealed that they actually had two little ones on the way. “Thought we were just going in for our first ultrasound for our first child,” Colton captioned an ultrasound photo via Instagram in March. “Turns out it was for our first TWO kids!!! We’re having TWINS!!!!!”

Annie chimed in at the time: ”So excited to meet these little cuties. We recently found out we are having TWINS!”

The Tennessee native documented her baby bump progress on social media, from mirror selfies to Polaroid pictures. “Almost 27 weeks. #identicaltwins #twingirls,” she captioned a May Instagram upload. “These babes already have my heart.”

She and Colton got engaged in September 2015 at Walt Disney World in Florida. Four months later, the couple tied the knot in Nashville.

“Married my best friend last night,” the “Never Gone” singer wrote via Instagram in January 2016. “I love you @anniecog. What a great night with family and friends!”

Colton went on to tweet, “So. I most definitely did not ugly cry 4 1/2 times last night. Nope.”

Annie penned a sweet tribute on their fourth anniversary alongside throwback photos from their wedding ceremony. “We do a lot of things together and while we have our individual goals and dreams, at the end of the day we pray together and believe God together,” she wrote. “There is power in your prayers together. That’s why the enemy fights it so hard. It may feel awkward at first, but it’s SO WORTH IT!”

She thanked her “handsome, determined, fun husband” at the time, concluding, “God was showing off when he brought me you.”
