Earlier this week, Britney Spears dropped the first excerpt of her highly-anticipated memoir The Woman in Me. Some shocking details made headlines, including the bombshell revelation that she had an abortion while dating Justin Timberlake.

And while the internet is clearly already abuzz with chatter about the star, Spears is adding fuel to the fire...by dancing with knives...again.

"Come over don’t worry I have such a warm inviting loving home with these FAKE knives 🔪," she wrote on Instagram.

The post comes just weeks after the Ventura, California, police performed a wellness check on Spears for posting the first knife-dance video. However, she quickly took to Instagram to clarify that she was, in fact, fine and using fake knives.

"I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives," Spears explained in the caption to the first knife-dance video. "No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by... Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks."

Captain Dean Worthy from the county sheriff's office confirmed to Page Six that a sergeant visited Spears' home for a wellness check. While her security team would not allow the authorities to "see her physically," they said she was fine.

"So unacceptable for cops to listen to random fans and come into my home unwarranted," Spears added in a post on Instagram. "The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me... I am getting an apology. I've been bullied in my home for so long now."

According to Captain Worthy, the person who requested the wellness check was not actually a fan.

"Somebody close to Britney had seen the video posted on social media, where she’s dancing and twirling with knives in her hands, and they were really concerned for her mental well-being," he said.
