This comfy hotel has hit the real estate market. One caveat? It might be haunted
Fan of all things supernatural and aren’t too timid? Then this hotel that’s landed on the real estate market in Humbird, Wisconsin, for $279,900 might be right up your alley.
The property consists of six bedrooms and five bathrooms over 5,500 square feet. The residence even comes with its own living quarters that is 1,800 square feet. However, the listing on Realtor.com says that not only have there been “multiple reports from owners and guests of supernatural activities,” but that the hotel also was investigated by a Minnesota ghost hunter group.
“It’s so old and beautiful,” listing agent Julie Bahnub told Realtor.com. “And people have experienced supernatural things in there—even the owners.”
Bahnub, who is with Bahnub Realty, LLC, even mentioned a specific startling thing that occurred with the current owners of the hotel.
“They were sitting in the bar and there was this hanging light and it started to move when they were sitting below it,” Bahnub told Realtor. “One person got up and stopped it from moving and said he could feel the force of somebody pulling it, so he sat down and it just continued to spin.”
Outside of haunted happenings, the building has had numerous updates and has plenty of appealing features, including:
Open-concept floor plan
Two living rooms
Detached two car garage
New outdoor wood burner
Residences on the market that are supposedly haunted are not too uncommon. Like this haunted jail in Florida that was up for sale in 2021 for $139,990. Some even have a famous pedigree, like when the house from the horror movie “The Conjuring” was put up for sale.
Humbird is about 145 miles northwest of Madison.
