Here comes the rain again: Flood watch in Cape Cod weather forecast

Fans of steady rain will probably enjoy the next day or so on Cape Cod.

According to the National Weather Service, Cape Cod could see around three inches of the wet stuff before things begin to clear up on Friday.

A Flood Watch is in effect through early Friday morning. According to the watch, "Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations," adding that the ground is still saturated from last week's heavy rain.

Hayden Frank, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service Boston/Norton office said "minor nuisance street flooding" may be also possible on the Cape.

Possible rainfall amounts through Friday March 29, 2024, according to the National Weather Service.
