Come July 26, the A1A Jimmy Buffet tribute show will be at Augusta's Miller Theater

Jimmy Buffet's legacy lives on in his fans, and one of his most devoted group of fans is coming to town.

A1A, the "Official and Original Jimmy Buffet Tribute Show," will be at the Miller Theater in downtown Augusta on July 26 at 7:30 p.m.

The band has gained a lot of praise, creating a tropical atmosphere and fun jams very reminiscent of Buffet's concerts. A1A even got to perform with Buffet on multiple occasions, including once for a private concert during the 2016 Masters Tournament.

For decades, Buffet was one of the biggest touring artists and his brand was synonymous with sand, sunshine, and party-time. Hit songs like "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise" are so popular they were turned into restaurant chains in many vacation spots. Buffet died last fall and has since been posthumously selected for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

A1A's opener will be Derrick Dove & the Peacekeepers, a blues group from Tifton.

Tickets go on sale Friday. The box office opens at 10 a.m. and can be called at (706) 842-4080. For more information, go to millertheateraugusta.com.
