College Football World Very Impressed By Michigan Today
We’ve been waiting years for Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines to take the college football world by storm. Could this be the year?
Michigan was 2-0 with impressive wins over Western Michigan and Washington heading into Saturday’s game. It was enough to vault the Wolverines into the AP Top 25 at No. 25. They might move up after their performance on Saturday.
Michigan played Northern Illinois on Saturday and made it look easy. The Wolverines lead 63-3 right now at the end of the third quarter. They’ve had success in all phases of the game.
It’s time to start paying attention to what’s happening in Ann Arbor.

Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara was efficient through the air, completing eight of his 11 attempts for 191 yards and a score.
The Wolverines also had much success on the ground. Running backs Blake Corum (13 carries for 125 yards and three touchdowns), Donovan Edwards (eight carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns) and Hassan Haskins (nine carries for 56 yards and two scores) all had big performances.
Yes, it was only Northern Illinois. But scoring 63 points in three quarters is difficult no matter the opponent.
College football fans are very impressed with Jim Harbaugh’s team so far this season.

Is there a mercy rule? Because one is needed in this Michigan game. 🥴

Michigan is not "just playing a MAC school." Michigan is winning by 60 against a MAC school that has already beaten a Power 5 school on the road this season. https://t.co/5UPRU7LEzB

We’re going to learn much more about Michigan football next week when the Wolverines begin Big Ten play.
Michigan’s upcoming schedule includes Rutgers on Sept. 25 and then Wisconsin on Oct. 2.
Based on the Wolverines’ first three weeks, it may be time to start taking them seriously.
