Arch Manning’s eventual destination remains one of the most speculated topics in college football recruiting circles.

The five-star quarterback is the son of Cooper Manning and the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning. Naturally, there’s already been a lot of discussion about his future.

Where will Arch Manning end up playing college football?

That’s been arguably talking point No. 1 in the college football recruiting world this summer. The elite 2023 recruit has visited several notable schools, including Clemson, SMU, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss.

Last week, Arch Manning took his final summer visit.

Texas has been seen by many as the favorite to land Arch Manning.

The Longhorns reportedly hit a “home run” during their visit.

“I think they hit a home run, I think they are squarely in the mix for Arch Manning,” Josh Pate said of Texas, via 247Sports. “But eventually, they’re going to have to have something tangible. Because there’s going to be too much tangible result to be seen from Alabama and the likes of Clemson. Texas has got to get it done. They have to show you something in weeks one and two because if you are to come out of summer on this massive recruiting hype wave and then you start to show product on the field earlier than anyone expected, that starts a snowball effect. That’s how you really start to take off in recruiting even in year one under a new staff and that’s how incredible things can happen.”

But how does Texas’ move to the SEC impact Arch Manning’s decision?

Longhorns Country of FanNation addressed this topic this week:

But can the Longhorns out-duel the likes of Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Ole Miss or Tennessee for the NFL legacy?

Before the events of the past few days, that answer likely by the end would have been no.

But now sitting in the SEC alongside the powers of Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, that gap has surely been closed.

“I think (the Longhorns) are going to get it going in the next few years and I’m excited to see what they can do,” Manning told 247 Sports. “Obviously, he’s a freak of a coach with what he did at Alabama and the Falcons and everywhere else. He knows how to coach quarterbacks. He’s actually just a real nice guy and really laid back and I like him a lot.”

It would certainly be fun to see Arch Manning playing against the likes of Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, etc.

One thing is certain: Arch Manning and his family are not going to rush any decision. They’re a football family with a lot of history in the recruiting world. You can be sure that the five-star quarterback will be extremely patient in making his decision.
