The recruitment of five-star quarterback Arch Manning could be reaching a conclusion in the coming months.

Arch Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, has made several notable visits this season. On Saturday, he was at Ole Miss, for Eli Manning’s retirement ceremony. The Rebels are believed to be one of the schools in contention for the 2023 quarterback recruit.

But there are several others in contention, too.

Friday night, ESPN college football insider Mark Schlabach addressed the recruitment on ESPNU.

“From what people have told me around Isidore Newman, I think he’ll wait for the coaching carousel to settle down after this season,” Schlabach said. “And then go out and make his official visits and come up with a decision late next spring or summer. But certainly Texas, Georgia and Alabama seem to think they’re in a pretty good position.”

Ole Miss and LSU are also believed to be in contention. Many would love to see Arch Manning end up at Ole Miss, where his grandpa and uncle played.

Others, though, would love to see him at LSU.

“I think if Kiffin goes to LSU his family and grandparents only got to drive an hour up from New Orleans I would think that would be ideal!” one fan suggested.

“I think it will be either Texas or Ole Miss depending on coaching staffs at the time he signs,” another fan predicted.

“I really believe Arch wants to learn from an offensive coach. Texas or Ole Miss,” one fan added.

Arch Manning is the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2023 class, per 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He’s one of the most-hyped quarterback recruits of all-time. Whichever program lands him could be getting an immediate, Day 1 starter.
