Earlier Tuesday afternoon, college football analyst Danny Kanell and 247Sports insider Bud Elliott brought up Lane Kiffin’s name for the Oregon opening.

“I think if you’re smart, you bounce right now if you’re Lane,” Kanell said, via 247Sports. “You take advantage of the teams that were down — again LSU was down, Auburn was down, Texas A&M was 8-4. Bama was even gettable, and you couldn’t get them. I think you saw that you’re pretty much tapped. I think you cash out that one more time if you can.”

Oregon fans watched as head coach Mario Cristobal left to take over at Miami earlier this week. However, they don’t seem too upset when names like Lane Kiffin are being tossed around as a potential replacement.

“Lane having access to unlimited resources at Oregon will put the league on notice,” one fan said.

Fans are hoping for one of Baylor head coach Dave Aranda or Lane Kiffin.

“Aranda or Kiffin would be amazing,” another fan said.

Kiffin led the Ole Miss Rebels to an outstanding 10-2 season in just his second season in charge of the team.

He has no trouble recruiting and the Ducks likely wouldn’t see a drop off. But would he leave the Rebels to go coach in the Pac-12 again?
