College basketball rankings: Big 12 teams in updated Coaches Poll, AP Top 25 on Jan. 15

The Big 12 is enjoying an extremely strong season overall so far this year.

It came into this week with two teams in the top three in both the AP and Coaches Polls, plus a third team in the top 10.

Kansas had a golden opportunity to jump in the standings with Purdue losing to Nebraska last week, but a loss to UCF may cause it to peak at No. 2 after Houston dropped two games this week. Oklahoma, meanwhile, is also dealing with a two-loss week against TCU and Kansas.

Texas' struggles also continued with a loss to West Virginia on Saturday, while Baylor and Texas Tech continued their upward trajectories.
