Cold front Sunday bringing rain, cold temps to North Texas weather forecast for next week

Warm North Texas temperatures on Saturday will be “one last gasp of summer” before heading into a week of highs mostly in the 60s, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

A cold front arriving in the Dallas-Fort Worth region on Saturday is expected to put an end to the Texas summer, ushering in high chances or rain and possible thunderstorms on Sunday.

The chance of precipitation is 70% during the day Sunday and around 30% on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Heading into next week, highs are expected in the 60s Monday through Wednesday, before breaching into the 70s on Thursday.

Nights will be decidedly cooler, with expected lows dipping down as far as into the 40s on Tuesday night.

These temperatures are well under the season average of 77 to 78 degrees.

Monday is expected to be mostly cloudy, but the rest of next week is forecast for sunny skies.
