How cold will it get in Florida? A breakdown of where you’ll feel 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s
There’s a change in the air.
You’ll feel it starting Wednesday, and certainly Wednesday night. It’ll get drier and cooler.
Yes, Florida, fall has arrived. Or is this winter?
While South Florida temperatures will dip into the mid-60s, according to the National Weather Service, other parts of the state will be colder. Much colder.
Going to Disney? Doing business in the state capital? Heading to the hurricane zone?
“Enjoy the cool,” said CBS Miami meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez. “You will need a sweater or a jacket.”

South Florida
Expect rain before the cool-down arrives. The afternoon high on Wednesday won’t exceed the mid-70s. On Wednesday night into Thursday morning, forecasters expect temperatures to drop to the mid-60s. That’s almost churros and hot chocolate weather. Thursday night and Friday night will be a tad warmer, but still in the 60s, according to the weather service. By the weekend, the region will be back to the 80s in the day and 70s at night.

Florida Keys
While the Keys will get cooler, lows will stay in the low-70s and highs will reach the upper-70s.

Southwest Florida
Wednesday night’s low in Fort Myers will drop to 54 and Thursday night will be 58, according to the National Weather Service. It’ll be in the 60s on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sarasota-Bradenton
Wednesday afternoon’s high won’t even reach 70 in Bradenton, according to the National Weather Service, and it’ll drop to 51 at night. Thursday night will be 56 and Friday night 59.

Tampa
As we head north in Florida, welcome to the 40s. The low temperature Wednesday night and Thursday morning is forecast to drop to 49. It’ll warm up to 54 on Thursday night and 59 on Friday night.
Orlando
Heading to the theme parks? Bundle up. It won’t reach 70 Wednesday, and at night it’ll drop to 50, according to the weather service. Thursday night warms up to 56 and Friday night 59. What about the weekend? The highs will be back in the 80s and the lows in the 60s.

North Florida
Jacksonville will dip to 46 on Wednesday night and 50 Thursday night. And if you have business in the state capital, get ready for this: Tallahassee will go down to 39 Wednesday night, according to the weather service, and 42 and 48 on Thursday and Friday nights, respectively. The afternoon highs on Wednesday and Thursday in Tallahassee will stay in the 60s.
