A close vote: This is the Wichita restaurant you missed the most

We’ve got a winner, though it was close.

More than a month ago, we asked readers which Wichita restaurant they wished was still around.

We started with a list of 32 restaurants: Applegate’s Landing, The Grape, Amarillo Grill, Spaghetti Warehouse, Bombay Bicycle Club, Dr. Redbird’s Medicinal Inn, Timberline Steakhouse & Grill, Chateau Briand, Garden Cafe, Albert’s, Chi Chi’s, Abe’s Club, Cafe Chantilly, DeFazio’s, Steak and Ale, Longneckers, The Cedar Saloon, Doc’s Steakhouse, Kwan Court, Grandy’s, Joe Kelly’s Oyster Deck, Willie C’s, Yen Ching, Italian Garden, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Tom and Sonny’s, Looking Glass, Magnolia Cafe, Pasta Mill, Mr. Dunderbak’s, Portobello Road and Jet Bar-B-Q. There were so many ... we wish we could have included more.

And week by week, readers voted and narrowed the list on this very unscientific poll.

The winner? Amarillo Grill received 707 votes to Willie C’s 670 votes. The percentage of votes was 51% to 49%.
