Clifton's Mia Hailey moves on to the Top 24 on 'American Idol'

Clifton's Mia Hailey is moving on!

Hailey, 16, secured her spot in the "American Idol" Top 24 on Monday night's show. She impressed the judges by singing "Alive" by Sia.

“'Alive' sealed the deal," Katie Perry told the Passaic County Technical Institute junior.

While Lionel Ritchie told her: “Way to swing.”

Hailey remarked, “I made it to the Top 24! I’m so excited, I’m so proud.”

"American Idol" shared the news on Instagram with Mia's "star keeps rising!"

On Sunday's show, the first round of "Hollywood Week," Mia performed "Love in the Dark" by Adele and was picked to be one of the 56 contestants advancing.

The remaining 24 contestants will go on to perform during live shows and be voted on by viewers around the country.

Mia is no stranger to the TV spotlight. At the age of just 14, she made it to the final of NBC's "The Voice" in December 2021 before finishing in fourth place.
