Clever Husky Lets His Smarts Shine While Surfing the Waves

Growing up anywhere near a body of water meant someone warning you about getting swept out to see. It didn't matter what body of water it was, you were going to get swept out to sea if you strayed too far. Your parents swore it!

While it was a necessary cautionary tale, it's not something we can really pass on to our furry children, is it? Obviously not, because a Husky took to the water on Friday, August 2nd, with absolutely no fear. He was focused only on getting his ball back:

Me and all 36,000 other fans are so glad that My Boy Marble is alright, though it was never really a worry: he knew what he was doing. He's like Moana: the sea just calls him.

Marble, as a Husky, is a man who knows exactly what he wants, and you can count on that. If something you're doing is not up to his standards, he will let you know. For example, in this video, when his big orange ball gets swept out to sea by the big waves, he takes a second to bark, as if telling the ocean that it was not cool!

The decision to go after his ball in these rough waters was a crazy decision, and it might have been dumb, if Marble didn't know his limits, but he did. He never really lets the waves get to him, at least not enough to submerge him completely. He's more-so just waiting for the waves to bring his ball back to him while standing in the water. He can handle it!

Huskies Are a Very Smart Breed

Huskies are so smart it's actually a little bit wild. When you first meet them, they can sometimes seem a little... dim, because they're so excited to meet you that they kind of forget how to exist. They just start screaming.

Don't let their crazy demeanor fool you, though: Huskies are one of the smartest dog breeds around. They're escape artists: they can open doors and gates, hop fences, and find their way into everything you want to keep them out of with ease. It's hilarious.

Because of all of that, though, Huskies require a lot of supervision and a lot of stimulation. It's not easy, but Marble makes everything look effortless. No doubt, playing with his ball in the ocean was quite a stimulating activity!
