Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw has made more history during his outstanding career.

Kershaw pitched against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night and became the Dodgers’ all-time strikeout leader. He now has 2,697 strikeouts, one more than Don Sutton.

The MLB world congratulated Kershaw on social media when he made history.

Even though the Dodgers lost, Kershaw struck out seven Tigers batters in just under seven total innings. He also gave up only four hits, one earned run, and two walks.

The only question that remains for Kershaw will be how much higher he can go. His next start is slated for Thursday.

The Dodgers are currently 13-7 overall on the season heading into Sunday’s series finale.
