Claudia Schiffer's 53rd Birthday Includes a Bikini and a 'Special Friend'
German supermodel Claudia Schiffer had a magical moment during her 53rd birthday, engaging with a "special friend" in an unexpected way.
Schiffer marked her birthday with a post on social media, inviting fans to see how she celebrated the big day as she turned 53 on Aug. 25. She began her post with a video in which she wears a red, white, blue and yellow patterned bikini and white sunglasses, her hair hanging down in natural waves.
In the clip, Schiffer holds an arm up as she watches a butterfly land on her hand. She then tilts her arm to get a closer look at the striped insect. After a moment, the butterfly flies off as Schiffer laughs and watches it go.
"Celebrating in Greek paradise, featuring a special friend who came to wish me happy birthday 🥰🦋," captioned Schiffer.
The Love Actually actress also shared a few images from her birthday vacation, including a look at a room decked out and ready for a party, with balloons spelling "Happy Birthday" against the wall. More photos showed off the view of Greece outside of where she's staying and her delicious-looking birthday cake.
While Schiffer's husband, movie director Matthew Vaughn, is likely on the trip with her, it's unclear if their three children—Caspar, Clementine, and Cosima—are there as well.
Many people wished Schiffer a happy birthday on Instagram, with fellow supermodel Linda Evangelista writing, "Happy happy birthday Claudia ♥️🎈♥️🎈♥️🎈♥️," while Dua Lipa commented, "Happy Birthday Claudia!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️."

On her actual birthday, Schiffer shared a video from the happy day while thanking everyone for their birthday messages. The mother of three retired from modeling long ago, though she occasionally returns to the fashion world for various projects. Currently, she is pursuing a passion for designing ceramic dinnerware collections.
