Clarksville's Edith Pettus Park renovations to be unveiled Saturday hosted by Parks and Rec

Clarksville's Parks and Recreation is celebrating the revamping of Edith Park.

On Saturday, Clarksvillians can join the celebration of the revitalized Edith Park from 10 a.m. to noon.

"We are excited to invite the community to experience the transformation of Edith Pettus Park," said Jennifer Letourneau, director of Clarksville Parks & Recreation. "The addition of new athletic fields underscores our commitment to enhancing recreational spaces for the benefit of our residents."

Edith Park now features upgraded facilities including a regulation-size football field, a smaller practice field, a newly installed basketball court and upgraded athletic field lighting.

During the grand opening, Clarksville residents can enjoy the new renovations and free hamburgers and hotdogs from the Parks and Rec staff.

"These additions aim to provide residents with increased opportunities for outdoor recreation and sports as well as additional athletic field rental space," said the Parks and Rec department in a news release.
