Hollywood power couple Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are starring in their second movie together, "Civil War."
The couple met while filming the second season of the TV show "Fargo" in 2015, and began dating a year later. Since then, Plemons and Dunst have had two sons, Ennis Howard in 2018 and James Robert in 2021, and married in 2022 after a five-year engagement.
Since then, the pair have starred in hit after hit together, with every joint appearance leading to an award nomination or win. They may continue that trend with "Civil War," which has a budget of $50 million, according to IMDb Pro.
Dunst told Marie Clare in March that she loves working with Plemons.
"What's nice is that we trust each other so much," she said. "He sent me a scene last night of this miniseries he's working on to get my opinion. If I'm having a hard time deciding on something, I'll have him read it. I trust his opinion more than anyone, and he cares about me more than anyone."
Dunst also said that the pair liked to stay focused while filming and not talk to each other on set outside their scenes.
"Because we fell in love on a set, we fell in love creatively first. I think we'll always come back to that, in a very not-involving-our-real-life way," Dunst said. "I left him alone, he left me alone."

'Civil War'
In "Civil War," directed by Alex Garland, Dunst stars as Lee, a veteran war photographer documenting modern-day US civil war with a team of journalists.
Plemons appears as a soldier who threatens the group of journalists. Dunst told Marie Clare that she recommended her husband for the role after another actor dropped out.
Plemons has developed a reputation for playing uncomfortable characters following his roles in "Game Night," "Breaking Bad," and "Black Mirror," but Dunst told Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier on Monday that Plemons "wouldn't play a part like this."
"He did a favor for us because that is a really disturbing role to play, so it's not like he was jumping at the chance to play the role," she said. "Even reading the script, it's one of the craziest things I've ever seen.
"When we rolled up to set, it was just very, very tense and emotional for everybody filming that scene," Dunst added.
"Civil War" is out now and has a Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 91%.
'The Power of the Dog'
Based on a 1971 novel of the same name, "The Power of the Dog" is about Phil Burbank, a cold rancher (Benedict Cumberbatch), and his brother George Burbank (Plemons). After George falls in love and marries an inn owner (Dunst), Phil begins to bully and belittle the wife and her son Peter (Kodi Smit-McPhee).
"The Power of the Dog" marks the second time Dunst and Plemons have played a married couple on-screen after "Fargo."
The movie, directed by Jane Campion, was nominated for 12 Oscars in 2022, including a best supporting actor award nomination for both Dunst and Plemons. Campion was the only person to win an award for the film, receiving the best director Oscar.

'Black Mirror' season four, episode one 'USS Callister.'
"Black Mirror" is a British dystopian anthology series about the dangers of futuristic technologies.
In season four, episode one, "USS Callister," Plemons plays a scorned video game programmer, Robert Daly, who creates a "Star Trek"-like space adventure simulation and begins to torture digital clones of his coworkers to enact his revenge.
Dunst makes a "blink-and-you-miss-it" cameo in an office scene in the episode.
Toby Haynes, the director of the episode, told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018 that Dunst asked to be part of the scene and was almost edited out.
"She was sitting on set with Jesse and was like, 'Can I play?'" Haynes said. "I said, 'sure,' and we placed her in the background.
"But when I watched the first take she wasn't there — continuity had taken her out because she wouldn't be in any of the other shots that day and I went crazy! I told them, 'Come on! I only need one shot!'" he added.
"USS Callister" was also a critical success. In 2018, the episode won four Emmys and was nominated for three more. Plemons was nominated for the lead actor in a limited series or movie award but didn't win.

'Fargo' season 2
In "Fargo" season two, Dunst and Plemons play a married couple, Peggy and Ed Blumquist, who attempt to cover up an accidental hit-and-run.
The 10-episode season earned 18 Emmy nominations in 2016, winning two categories. Dunst and Plemons were nominated for an acting award in the limited series category.
Although Dunst was dating another actor when she met her husband, the "Spider-Man" star told Porter in 2019 that she knew Plemons was her "soulmate" after their first encounter.
"I just knew he would be in my life forever," she said. "I didn't know what capacity that would be at the time. When the show was over, I just missed him terribly. We didn't get together until a year later.
"We were both smart enough that we were wondering if the connection was just because we were working together. But it was real."
In 2019, Plemons said during Dunst's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, that he first met his future wife at an airport.
"Out of nowhere, from behind, I heard a voice call my name, and I turned to see Kirsten," Plemons said. "Immediately, without too many words being exchanged, I looked into her eyes and saw the beautiful, sweet, unguarded, welcoming human being that she is."
He added: "And it was truly in an instant and immediately my nerves and anxiety dissolved, and I knew everything was going to be all right."
"Fargo" season two is available on Hulu and has a Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 100%.
