City of Amarillo: Offices closed, services adjusted for Memorial Day holiday

The City of Amarillo will honor the U.S. military on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.

City Hall, Amarillo City Transit, Amarillo Municipal Court and the Amarillo Public Library System and the city landfill and brush sites will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday.

The city's solid waste schedule will be adjusted for next week as follows:

  • For residential and polycart/hand collection routes, Monday routes will be serviced on Tuesday, May 28, and Tuesday routes will be serviced Wednesday, May 29. Thursday and Friday routes will operate as normal.

  • For commercial routes, Monday routes will be serviced Tuesday, May 28. Wednesday through Saturday routes will operate as normal.

  • Curbside collection will not be available on Monday, May 27.

All city golf complexes including Ross Rogers and Comanche Trail will have normal hours of operation on Monday.
