Citizens' Association of Palm Beach Thursday seminar will focus on beaches, resiliency

The Citizens' Association of Palm Beach will present a seminar on beaches, resiliency and the safety of dunes and condos Thursday at Palm Beach Fire Rescue Station No. 3.

"We're An Island Surrounded By Water" runs from 10 a.m. to noon and will feature appearances by Melissa Ceriale, chair of the town's Shore Protection Board; Thomas P. Pierro, principal engineer at Coastal Protection Engineering; and Paul Brazil, the town's director of Public Works.

The seminar will cover topics including lake shore resilience; lake shore protection options; 2024-25 beach projects; status of the town's beaches from 1994-2024; and safety of the town's dunes and condos.

Palm Beach Fire Rescue Station No. 3 is at 2185 S. Ocean Blvd.
