Cinq à Sept Resort 2023

Cinq à Sept’s Jane Siskin continues to evolve the contemporary brand to an updated interpretation of the bohemian lifestyle. For her resort offering, Siskin drew inspiration from Thea Porter (designer, artist and muse), infusing elements from the ’60s and ’70s through Siskin’s bohemian lens. The collection is a celebration of the times — as travelers begin to venture out again on global holidays, Siskin offers a modern and elevated wardrobe through the use of graphic prints and bold color that intensify the free spirit aesthetic.

The look: Free-flowing fashions juxtaposed with a dash of sophistication — via the use of embellishment and embroidery and a sense of ease in more structured silhouettes.

Quote of note: “We are seeing a lot of self expression happening, people are less afraid of color, embellishment, it’s a fun time in terms of what people want, everyone’s letting their freak flag fly — and this collection evokes that kind of emotion where you can go anywhere.”

Key pieces: A Pearl and Black Tulip Burnout print dress, a black crepe suit with floral embellishment via the form of custom bullion and beads appliqués (also on white T-shirts for a more casual approach), silk charmeuse top and skirt set with feather detailing, and a crimped pearl tones sequined suit (also available in a dramatic floor-length one-shoulder gown).

The takeaway: Siskin continues to inject excitement into casual dressing by adding a dose of glamor to her commercially successful lineup of playful dresses, tailoring and separates.
