Chukar Cherries recalls ‘Cherry Bombs’ over undisclosed nuts in the bag
Chukar Cherries of Prosser issued a voluntary recall on Feb. 20 for its Cherry Bombs product.
Chukar said the product could contain hazelnuts, which were not identified on packaging.
People who have an allergy or sensitivity to hazelnuts could face serous or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume them.
The Cherry Bomb products were sold at company stores in Prosser and Seattle.
The recall affects 12-ounce packages with a SKU of 21508 and “Best By” dates of July, August, September, October and December of 2023 and January and February of 2024. November 2023 was not included.
The products were sold prior to Feb. 10.
Customers are urged to destroy or return the product.
The recall notice was issued through the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
