Christopher Lloyd is sharing a joyous moment with his Back to the Future film franchise costar Michael J. Fox.

In a throwback snapshot shared via Instagram on Thursday, Nov. 2, the actor smiled subtly alongside his former cast mate, as they both sat in wooden director-style chairs, seemingly on a stage or set of some sort.

"Love this photo with @realmikejfox," the image was captioned.

Both Lloyd and Fox rocked tees under dark-colored jackets and denim jeans with sneakers for the casual shot, which garnered a major reaction from social media users, who didn't waste time in dropping their adoration for the stars in the comment section of the upload.

As evidenced by a quick scroll through the fan commentary, the word "legends" appeared way too many times to count—a testament to the obvious impact the two actors have had in the film industry.

"This is too legendary," one insisted, and several others agreed with that sentiment, flying into the comments to write the same.

"The 'Back to the Future' trilogy is arguably the greatest trilogy of all time. Happy to see both you legends in good spirits," another decided, while a third said the picture was radiating "Sheer Joy❣️❣️."

"Dreamboats in Time .. Always ❤️❤️," another chimed in.

Two additional Instagram users called them a "great dynamic duo" and "forever friends."

The pair starred in Back to the Future and its sequels, Parts II and III, with Fox portraying time-traveling teen Marty McFly opposite Lloyd's Emmett "Doc" Brown, an eccentric scientist who invented a time machine by renovating a DeLorean sports car.
