Christmas Eve and Christmas Day events in Whatcom County to put you in the holiday spirit

Looking for a festive event on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? The Bellingham Herald has put together a list of local events to help you celebrate on Saturday, Dec. 24 and Sunday, Dec. 25:

Christmas Eve Candlelight Services on Dec. 24

Christ the King Community Church will be offering four Christmas Eve candlelight services at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. in person and online. All are welcome, and the church is at 4173 Meridian St. in Bellingham.

Holiday market on Dec. 24

Allied Arts Of Whatcom County will have its 43rd annual Holiday Festival of the Arts open for its last day on Dec. 24. The festival features over 100 local artisans to shop from and will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival is at 1411 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham.

Carols and candlelight service on Dec. 24

First Baptist Church in Bellingham will be hosting a family-friendly Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. All are welcome to the service, and the church is located in Bellingham at 110 Flora St.

Photos with Santa on Dec. 24

The Bellis Fair Mall will be open with photos with Santa available. Visitors can walk up to meet Santa and get a photo, or make an appointment online in advance. Santa will be located at Center Court at the JCPenney wing of the mall. Bellis Fair Mall is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 24, and is at One Bellis Fair Parkway in Bellingham.

Christmas church services on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25

Northwest Baptist Church will be holding a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24 and a Christmas Day service at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 25. The services can also be watched online. The church is located at 3545 Northwest Ave. in Bellingham.

Christmas karaoke on Dec. 25

Wild Buffalo, a Bellingham music venue and dance club will be hosting Christmas karaoke from 8 p.m. on midnight on Christmas Day. Doors open at 8 p.m. and karaoke begins at 9 p.m., with no cover charge. The event is only for visitors 21 years and older.

Drive-thru Christmas light show on Dec. 25

Lights of Lynden will be open from 5-9 p.m. on Dec. 25 for its drive-thru Christmas light display of synchronized lights and holiday music. Guests pay $20 cash or $22 card per car and drive through light displays and a giant lightest Christmas tree while watching the decorations change colors in sync with music. The event’s entry is located at 1775 Front. St. in Lynden.

Christmas buffet on Dec. 25

The Lighthouse Bar and Grill at the Hotel Bellwether will be hosting a Christmas Day buffet from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with foods such as prime rib, turkey, ham, salmon and desserts. The buffet costs $75 for adults, $45 for guests ages 10 and under, and is free for children 4 and under. Reservations are required and must be made by calling 360-392-3100.

Christmas dinner Dec. 25

B-Town Kitchen and Raw Bar will host a Christmas dinner from noon to 5 p.m. on Christmas Day, with prime rib, apple pear chutney, chestnut soup and caramel apple cobbler for dessert. Reservations are encouraged and can be made online or by calling 360-392-6502. The restaurant is at 714 Lakeway Dr. in Bellingham.
