Ghosted, the new film starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, has released its trailer.

The film, which is being released by Apple TV+, sees “salt-of-the-earth” Cole (Evans) fall head over heels for the enigmatic Sadie (de Armas). After she disappears for a time, in which he sends bundles of messages, he believes he’s been ghosted and travels to London to find her.

Upon discovering that she’s a secret agent, the pair are swept away on an international adventure to save the world whilst trying to organise a second date.

The action-packed trailer shows Cole and Sadie’s escapades as they attempt to balance their perilous situation with a budding romance. The film, which is being directed by Rocketman’s Dexter Fletcher, also stars Adrien Brody, Mike Moh and Tim Blake Nelson, with the lead pair serving as executive producers.

Fletcher recently spoke about the progress of the film, which has now been confirmed to be releasing on the streaming service on April 21.

"Production is well-wrapped. I’m just putting the finishing touches to it now. It’ll be ready for April. I mean, I don’t know if I’m even allowed to say that but I’ve said it. People should be standing by their TVs and their Apple boxes for April," he said.

de Armas, who replaced Scarlett Johansson in the lead role for Ghosted, is also due to appear in John Wick spin-off Ballerina, and recently spoke about the physically-demanding filming process.

"I'm in pain. You know, my body, my back, everything hurts. I'm complaining, I'm sore, I'm bruised. Bond [movie No Time to Die] was 15 minutes. This is a whole movie, another level," she said.

"The other day, Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing crazy stunts. And I'm like — I can't complain anymore. Because he is doing it! He truly is the best."

Ghosted will be released on Apple TV+ on April 21.
