He responded quickly and calmly to the situation as he called 911. "Shawn's kind nature and immediate assistance made all the difference," said Handy. Bulloch also is a member of the following groups: National Honor Society, Distributive Education of Clubs of America, Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Warrior Council (student council). He is also on Jenkins' tennis and cross country teams. In addition to all of those responsibilities, Bulloch is on the Peer Mediator Team and runs his own photography business.

Lola-Nichole Hunter, senior, Robert W. Groves High School

Hunter recently won 2nd place in the category of Prepared Speech for the SkillsUSA Region and will go on to compete at the SkillsUSA State Competition in Atlanta Georgia. She currently serves as the secretary for GHS SkillsUSA and GHS Beta Club. She is a part of the GHS Industrial Academy where she will complete the Maritime Logistics Pathway and the Aviation Maintenance Pathway. She is also dual enrolled at Savannah Technical College (Crossroads Campus) completing her Aviation Technician sponsored by Gulfstream. She has completed her Transportation Workers' Identification Card (TWIC) through the Maritime Logistics Pathway and will earn up to five more certifications before graduating in May 2024. Dr. Smith, the Maritime Logistics Pathway Instructor, says, "She is the epitome of hard work and commitment." Mr. Allen the Aviation Maintenance Instructor stated that Lola is a shining example of what these programs can accomplish when the student commits to excellence.

Maddox Clark, senior, Benedictine Military School

Maddox Clark was the Southern Motors Student of the Month (September 2023). According to Benedictine's communications director, Clark, "is always willing to sacrifice his own position for the betterment of whatever group he is a member of." He works hard in the classroom and is a leader with Benedictine's Raider team and in JROTC. Maddox is also actively involved in community service and embodies the spirit of Benedictine's cornerstones. He is a doer and when he sees that something needs to be done, he moved forward to do it. Maddox had a vision for a school newspaper so he and former Student of the Week nominee Chip Breckenridge worked hard to bring the school newspaper back to Benedictine. They have successfully published two editions, which can be found on the school's website (https://www.thebc400.com/student-life/student-newspaper). They are currently growing the staff of reporters and photographers who will continue to build the newspaper after they graduate.
