Chipotle is testing out a new chicken recipe: Where to find Pollo Asado

Chipotle has rolled out a new chicken recipe for the first time in its 28-year history.

For a limited time, Pollo Asado is being tested at 95 locations in two markets: Sacramento, California, and Cincinnati.

The new grilled chicken dish features a dry rub of cumin, guajillo peppers and coriander that's finished off with garlic, chili peppers, fresh squeezed lime and cilantro.

"With the celebrated Adobo chicken recipe already on our menu, we decided it was time to add another option, and our new flavorful Pollo Asado chicken is another perfect complement to our real ingredients," Chipotle's Chief Marketing Officer Chris Brandt said in a release.

Brandt noted that chicken is the most popular protein on Chipotle's menu.

Fans of the original Adobo chicken recipe can still opt for that too, along with all other regular menu items.
