Chili's New Burger Is Coming for the Big Mac

We hate to admit it, but fast food just isn’t the deal that it used to be. Gone are the days of the dollar menu, supersize options for pennies, and filling up for less than the cost of a latte.

If you’ve recently experienced sticker shock from your fast food soda and fries, it’s time to turn to your favorite chain. Chili’s is offering a new burger combo on the menu that defies drive-thru prices but still offers big fast food flavor.

Chili’s Launches New Big Smasher Burger

Today, Chili’s is introducing the latest heavyweight to hit their menu, the Big Smasher, and it's poised to go toe-to-toe with any and all classic fast food burgers. With the chain restaurant's first burger innovation in three years, Chili's is not just tweaking the nostalgic flavors we all know and love—they're doubling down. Literally.

The new burger has twice as much beef as a Big Mac with a nearly half-pound, hand-smashed beef patty (compared to the Big Mac’s pre-cooked patty weight of 3.2 ounces). To finish it off, the burger gets American cheese, Thousand Island dressing, diced red onions, lettuce, and pickles, all on a hand-buttered bun. Bet you can’t recite all that in four seconds.

What we love about this new Chili’s burger is that it’s familiar yet unmistakably upgraded—trust me, I tried it myself, and there’s absolutely no comparison. But best of all, dollar for dollar and pound for pound, it’s an even better deal than the drive-thru.

Chili’s is welcoming the Big Smasher to the "3 for Me" value menu for a limited time, meaning you can get a restaurant-quality burger, a basket of seasoned fries, a bottomless chips and salsa starter, and a soda—all for $10.99. Talk about falling in love at the Chili's.

“We know diners are experiencing sticker shock from the rising cost of fast food, with little change to the actual quantity or quality of fast food combo meals,” said George Felix, Chili’s Chief Marketing Officer. “We believe that Chili’s 3 For Me offers better value than you’ll find in any drive-thru and, with the all-new Big Smasher burger, we just made the 3 for Me even better. We believe our guests can enjoy better quality, better pricing, and a better experience every time.”

The new Big Smasher burger and with Chili's new Crispy Chicken sandwich are now available on Chili’s 3 for Me menu in participating locations starting today (alongside a new espresso martini, might I add).
