Chiefs undrafted free-agent tracker: KC adds former K-State receiver from Lee’s Summit
The Chiefs have made their seven picks at the 2024 NFL Draft, but there will be many more new players coming to Kansas City in the near future.
Following the completion of the draft in Detroit, the Chiefs began signing undrafted free agents and inviting players to the team’s rookie camp, which will start soon.

Former Kansas State wide receiver Phillip Brooks agreed to an undrafted free-agent deal with the Chiefs, reports Mike Klis of News9 in Denver.
Brooks, who played at Lee’s Summit West, led the Wildcats with 53 receptions last season and he had 589 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He is 5-8 and 171 pounds.

Oklahoma guard McKade Mettauer, who is 6-4 and 316 pounds, signed with the Chiefs. Mettauer was a captain for the Sooners.

The Chiefs invited Villanova running back TD Ayo-Durojaiye to their minicamp. He rushed for 444 yards and eight touchdowns in 89 carries.

Virginia Tech defense linemen Mario Kendricks, who is 6-foot and 294 pounds, has been invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp.

Utah cornerback Miles Battle announced on his Instagram story that he was joining the Chiefs, but it is not known if that is as an undrafted free agent or an invitation to rookie minicamp. Battle had an interception and 32 tackles.
Villanova wide receiver Jaaron Hayek has been invited to the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp. He caught 35 passes for 457 yards and four touchdowns. Hayek is 6-1 and 200 pounds.

Ohio University linebacker Bryce Houston was invited to Chiefs rookie minicamp, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. He had 76 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 5 1/2 sacks and two fumble recoveries last fall.
Wilson also reported that East Stroudsburg edge rusher Deshawn McCarthy received a rookie minicamp invitation.
Florida State defensive lineman Fabian Lovett Sr. has a deal to join the Chiefs.

Lovett, 6-4 and 318 pounds, was a team captain for the Seminoles. He had 22 tackles, including four for loss with one sack, three pass breakups and one quarterback hurry.

Northwestern linebacker Bryce Gallagher has been invited to the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp, according to student reporter Bradley Locker.

Villanova offensive lineman Nick Torres, who is 6-6 and 320 pounds, has signed with the Chiefs, according to his former coach at Holy Cross.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the Chiefs have invited former Ole Miss and Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders to their rookie minicamp.

James Madison wide receiver Reggie Brown is going to the Chiefs on rookie free agent deal, Wilson reported. Brown had 53 receptions and 1,054 receiving yards and nine touchdowns last fall.
Washington State safety Sam Lockett has been invited to the Chiefs and Seahawks rookie minicamps, according to the NFL Network’s Terry Meyers. Lockett is 6-1 and 207 pounds.
The Star’s Sam McDowell reported the Chiefs have signed former TCU running back Emani Bailey.
Bailey rushed for 1,209 yards and eight touchdowns for the Horned Frogs last fall. He is 5-9 and 207 pounds.

Pelissero reported the Chiefs are signing UCLA running back Carson Steele. He had 847 rushing yards for the Bruins a year ago. Steele is 6-1 and 225 pounds.

The Chiefs have also reached UDFA verbals agreements with Penn State LB Curtis Jacobs, Marshall OL Ethan Driskell and USC corner Christian Roland-Wallace, per source.

Jacobs was an honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference pick a year ago. He ran a 4.58-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He is 6-1 and 241 pounds.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Roland-Wallace had two interceptions for the Trojans a season ago.

Driskell is 6-9 and 329 pounds.
Old Dominion defensive end Jaylon White-McClain, Meyers reported. He is 6-4 and 254 pounds. White-McClain had 15 tackles last season.
